The Progression and Placement Cell functions with the twin fold focus i.e., providing guidance and assistance to students to achieve their career goals and by enabling industry to identify and absorb intellectuals with requisite technical & Managerial skills. It consists of representatives from each Stream and acts as a crucial link between training program of the students and their suitable employment. The Cell is inclined to train students for competitive exam and incorporates employability enhancement programme to provide awareness on soft skills, self-employment, industry insights and job opportunities. The cell takes adequate steps in identifying the current demands of the industry and prepares students towards the desire industry needs. Students from all streams are given job opportunities through On Campus as well as through of Off-Campus Career Exploration Fairs. Our students are placed successfully at various orgnisations such as TCS, ICICI productial, HDFC Bank, Reputed Media Organisations, Data Matrics, Wipro and Infosys.

An Incubation Centre has been established in collaboration with Brainiac Cognitive Solutions in 2019. Students are motivated by Industry experts and established entrepreneurs to set up their own entrepreneurial projects and a provision of seed money is given.

An online webinar was organised by the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in association with Brainiac Cognitive Solutions on JULY 28, 2021. The topic was “On Winds of Change: Inculcating Entrepreneurship Post Covid- 19”. This includes talks by eminent women speakers on inculcating and developing the spirit of entrepreneurship post the uncertain conditions of Covid- 19 and the lockdown in the country. One of the speakers was Ms. Zenobia Khodaiji, a life coach and grooming consultant for Mrs. Asia and Mrs. India contestants, who has an illustrious record of grooming young women for these pageants and also a TedX speaker. She delivered a talk on the mindset and core skills required for starting one’s own enterprise. She stressed upon having a positive mindset, discipline and time management as the basic requirements to start a business. She also spoke of mental health, communication skills and overcoming failures while running one’s own enterprise. Another speaker was Dr. Sarika Kulkarni, founder and director of social enterprise RAAH creative designs and trustee, RAAH foundation, shared her inspirational journey from a desk job to commencing her own enterprise. She spoke of the basic requirements of starting an enterprise in India like incubating ideas, commercializing them and procedures to follow. She also spoke of how to turn the negatives into positive while planning an enterprise after recessionary conditions of Covid- 19. Both the sessions were very resourceful and informative and followed by question and answer session. The programme was relayed via YouTube and attended by 88 students across various colleges.

The Centre organised a talk by Ms. Vaishali Parikh on ‘Women EntrepreneurshipEssentials and Challenges’ on MARCH 28, 2022. She shared her journey with the audience and gave important insights into how to start an enterprise. This was followed by a brief interaction, question and answer session. Our past student Ms. Khushbu Panchal, from 2019- 20 batch spoke about her experiences of the EDP programme modules and how it helped her own business of creative products.

Entrepreneurial Bootcamp Training Programme was organised by Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Association with Brainiac Cognitive Solutions on April 2 And 3, 2022. The training programme was held online for the degree college students. Topics covered were Conceptualizing Ideas for business, Aspects of Entrepreneurship, Business planning for enterprise, Essentials for commencing business and Basics of product development & Marketing for Entrepreneurship. Case studies for Entrepreneurship were also discussed. Students were introduced to how to get funding for Entrepreneurship, Legal aspects and how to develop a business development. The students got a clear idea on several aspects of entrepreneurship. They were given exercises and short assignments during the sessions and were asked to share their ideas and perspective on entrepreneurship.

The Placement and Progression cell has conducted various placement related activities for the students across the faculties. The details of the same are given below.

Technoserve Placement Drive (Career Fest)
Placement and progression cell organized ‘Career Fest’ on June 29, 2022 in coordination with TNS India Foundation, which led to the placement of about 208 students across colleges in Mumbai. 4 students from our college who participated and got placement in this event, wherein 1 student from B. Com got selected. Technoserve had organized a MEGA Career Fest for TNS India students on March 17, 2022 at Model College, Dombivli, wherein 10 students got selected.

Technoserve Training
An orientation programme for all Third-year students was organized on August 13, 2022. The Speaker for the session was Ms. Ankita Kale. A total of 173 students from BAF, BCOM, BCA, BA, BMS and BAMM attended the programme.

Two batches of BAF (35), B. Com and BMS (55) started training on August, 24, 2022. The program included sessions on Personal Effectiveness, Communication Readiness, Career Readiness and Work Readiness which is delivered through both offline and online mode. The students will also undergo individual counseling during the program, post training, pre- placement, and post placements.

Mehek Digisign& Advisory (E- Service Pvt Ltd)
An Orientation program was held on July 11, 2022 which was taken by Ms. Shalini Shetty in two slots for 130 students. The students were oriented about the job Profile and Terms of the Company. From 54 registered students, 21 were shortlisted for the interview on July 16, 2022 and 12 students were called for the final round of Interview on July 18, 2022.

Vista India Digitek Pvt. Ltd
Vista India is in the global digital distribution of movies, documentaries, and TV shows. The Vista Placement Drive started from July 13, 2022 and 46 Students registered However, no student was selected.

GTT
An orientation programme for all final year students was organized on August 18, 2022. GTT Foundation (GTTF) as an educational and training venture aims to provide ‘quality with scale’ through their training programs. The speakers Mr. Shirish and Mr. Vinod briefed the students about their training program and training modules. A total of 91 students attended the programme. The GTT training started from September 19, 2022.Certification program for soft skills, Certification course in BFSI (finance and accounting), Certification course in aptitude preparation, Certification program in resume building and mock interview are offered.

Brightwayz MBA CET Training
The orientation program was organized on August 22, 2022 for third year students conducted by Mr.Niketan, founder of Brightwayz. A total of 41 third year students got registered for the MBA CET training (TYBCOM-23, TYBMS-11, TYBAMM-5, TYBAF-02). From last year’s batch (2021-22) out of 11 girls - 5 girls appeared for MBA CET and all have cleared the exam successfully. Two of them got admitted and for rest of the 3 girls MBA admission process is about to start.

NIIT Foundation
Under the MOU signed between NIIT Foundation and our college, an orientation programme was held in the college auditorium on August 18, 2022 for 213 students across all faculties. The programme was conducted by Mr. Vivek Padwal, Head, Mumbai Region, NIIT Foundation who oriented the students about the courses like Web Development, Digital Marketing, Data Entry, E commerce and BFSI sectorto be offered to the trainees

The course is approved by NSDC and the certificate will bear its name. Information was also shared about placement opportunities which would follow post the training.

An online orientation program on ‘Employability Enhancement program on Full Stack Java’ by Anudip Foundation on August 05, 2022.

Anudip Foundation conducted a pre- training screening test on Java for TYBCA students on October 15, 2022.

Conducted Placement Drive by DigiMarketerz in our college for TYBCA students on November 05, 2022 where 11 students were eligible as per their criteria out of which four students Ms. Mansi Dumbre, Ms. SupriyaSahu, Ms. AkankshaKharat, Ms. MantashaMulla are selected for the Internship of Search Engine Optimization.
